LOMI-LOMI KAHUNA MASSAGE

Lomi Lomi massage, also known as “Hawaiian massage”, is a traditional form of body therapy originating in Hawaii. This massage technique is characterized by long, fluid and rhythmic movements performed with the therapist’s forearms, elbows and hands. The main purpose of Lomi Lomi massage is to induce deep relaxation, release muscle tension and restore the body’s energy balance.

In a Lomi Lomi session, the therapist creates a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, often using essential oils and relaxing music. The massage starts with gentle movements and gradually becomes firmer, covering the whole body. Lomi Lomi therapy is not only limited to the physical aspect, but also has a spiritual component, being influenced by the Hawaiian Huna philosophy, which emphasizes harmony, love and respect.

A distinctive aspect of Lomi Lomi massage is the integration of the concept of “forgiveness therapy”. In the Hawaiian tradition, releasing negative emotions and forgiveness are believed to be essential to complete healing. Forgiveness therapy involves acknowledging and releasing resentment, anger or emotional pain, thereby allowing positive energy to flow freely through the body. This process is often facilitated by the therapist through specific massage techniques and by creating a safe and supportive space for the client.

About teacher:

Radu Dan Gligor – Lomi-Lomi Hawaiian Ritual expert, Thai massage specialist, facial massage and body massage therapist and trainer with an impressive experience of 14 years in this field.  Among the remarkable skills and knowledge accumulated over time for the art of massage, he offers high quality services, but also shares his knowledge through workshops and seminars, inspiring and educating both his colleagues and his clients.

Who am I ?

•  A spa therapist specializing in complementary therapies since 2010; an expert in Asian massage, Lomi-Lomi ritual, Thai massage, Ayurvedic treatments, as well as body and facial therapies.

One of Founders and  ex-Vice President of the Massage and Complementary Therapies Association, ambassador for the World Wellness Association and Holistic Therapies (WWAHT) in Belgium, certified yoga instructor from the Indian Yoga Academy, and an accredited judge and trainer by the International Massage Association (IMA) in Denmark for national and international massage championships. The winner of gold medal in the “Eastern Free Style Male Professional” category at the Intercontinental Massage Championship in Greece in 2022.
