The Ecology in Motion Gua Sha: Facial Level 1 is a two-day program that focuses on the practical application of nature-based principles and biomedical knowledge of ancient Chinese medicine. This program provides a thorough comprehension of effective Gua sha treatments and a clear step-by-step guide on how to deliver them.

The program is not based on typical “acupoints and meridian” knowledge. It employs an entire system that uses the natural principles of ancient Chinese medicine to understand how to achieve the best results from any facial treatment. It emphasizes how your face moves with your body, flows, and connects with every muscle, and how the circulation system can enhance or inhibit any facial work.

During this program, you will explore ecological concepts of ancient Chinese medicine, and how to apply them to treat the face and other body parts. There is no separation between the face and body; therefore, it is important to understand how the body influences the face. Through a combination of theoretical and hands-on techniques, you will develop a deep understanding of effective Gua Sha treatments and a clear approach to delivering them.

This course brings a fresh and unique perspective to everything you do with facial Gua sha. The objective is to build confident, proficient facial Gua sha practitioners who know precisely what they are doing and why they are doing it, all within the context and beauty of the natural world and Chinese medicine.
This program aims to provide a holistic approach to facial Gua sha treatments by exploring tissue structures, areas, and channels of the face. You will learn how to target treatments to the upper face, eyes, mid-face, and lower face, and apply Gua sha treatment methods with ease. Ultimately, you will be able to regenerate facial tissue and restore vitality while using strategies to address common aesthetic goals such as worry lines, frown lines, smile lines, and crow’s feet.
